Style: Traditional pathway stonework
Stepping stone and pathway work across our traditional landscape projects. The stepping stone category bridges hardscape and planting — not a full patio but meaningful enough to carry foot traffic through gardens.
Done well, stepping stones look like they've always been there. Done poorly, they read as afterthoughts placed on top of lawn. The difference is in the preparation: proper excavation, compacted base, level bedding, and planting around each stone that softens the edges.
The portfolio shows a range: formal grids in parterre settings, irregular placements through perennial borders, stone stair transitions on graded terrain.
